Scotland v England Betting Special: Kane to be at the forefront of another Three Lions win

England travel to take on Scotland in a World Cup qualification fixture at Hampden Park on Saturday evening.

Gareth Southgate's men are top of Group F, having accumulated 13 points from their opening five fixtures in the section and, as 8/11 (1.73) favourites to win, the Three Lions are expected to take another significant stride on the road to Russia with victory in Glasgow.

England have scored nine goals in their last three meetings with the Scots and, as such, the visitors will be full of confidence ahead of Saturday's showdown.

One man who will be particularly keen to take his place in this match is Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane. The 23-year-old, who has been the Premier League's leading marksman in both of the last two seasons, sat out of England's 3-0 win against the Scots in November through injury and Kane looks set to line up against Strachan's side for the first time this weekend.

Kane is a 9/2 (5.50) chance with dabblebet - enhanced from 100/30 (4.33) for all customers - to score the opening goal in Glasgow, while the Spurs star is available at 6/5 (2.20) to score at any time - but it is not just the striker that the Scots must be wary of ahead of this clash.

Kane's teammate at club level, Dele Alli, enjoyed a hugely profitable season for Spurs and the highly-rated midfielder can be backed at 11/2 (6.50) to further enhance his reputation with the opening goal of this game. 2/1 (3.0) is available that the former MK Dons man makes his mark at any time.

Raheem Sterling, too, poses a real threat. The Manchester City star possesses pace and trickery in abundance and he would dearly love to score for his country against Scotland. There is 13/5 (3.60) that Sterling strikes at any time, while the former Liverpool player can be backed at 15/2 (8.50) to score the opening goal of the game.

Jermain Defoe, who scored the opener in England's most recent match - against Lithuania - is a 6/5 (2.20) chance to double his delight by scoring against Scotland, while Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is a 6/4 (2.50) chance to score his first competitive goal for the national team in this game.

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths may well be tasked with leading the line for the Scots. Griffiths, formerly of Wolverhampton Wanderers, has been something of a bit-part player at club level this season, with Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair taking centre stage for Brendan Rodgers' charges.

Griffiths, though, still scored 12 league goals for Celtic this season and the striker certainly knows the way to goal. dabblebet offer 8/1 (9.0) that the Scottish striker scores first on Saturday, while there is 11/4 (3.75) that Griffiths gets amongst the goals at any time.

Chris Martin came off the bench to secure a vital victory for the Scots with the only goal of the game against Slovenia and the Derby County striker may well be rewarded for his efforts with a place in Strachan's starting line-up for this one. Martin is a 3/1 (4.0) chance to score at any time, with 9/1 (10.0) that the striker scores first.

Stuart Armstrong enjoyed a superb season for Celtic and the former Dundee United midfielder scored at Hampden in last month's Scottish Cup final. There is 9/2 (5.50) that the 25-year-old repeats the feat on this occasion, while Armstrong can be backed at 14/1 (15.0) to break the deadlock.

Robert Snodgrass will certainly be familiar to fans of English football and the West Ham United star, who hit a hat-trick in Scotland's 5-1 win against Malta in the opening game of the campaign, can be backed at 4/1 (5.0) to add to his tally here, with 11/1 (12.0) that Snodgrass writes himself into Scottish footballing folklore with the first goal against the Auld Enemy in Saturday's showdown at Hampden Park.
