It may be early days yet in the Ghana Premier League but for former national star Sam Johnson, Liberty Professionals look like a side that could be headed for demotion.
After three matches this season, the Scientific Soccer Lads, who have a game in hand, sit bottom of the table, having won two games and drawn another.
“It’s possible Liberty can [be relegated], looking at the situation at hand," Johnson told Happy FM.
"But in the Ghana league, if you are able to win one or two matches [on the bounce], your position on the log changes [drastically], so they must put things in place to avoid the unfortunate.
“The management should motivate the players because the league is very young.
"If the management needs to beef up the squad, they must as soon as the second transfer window opens.”
To promptly turn their fortunes around, Liberty will arguably be seeking three points when they play away to new boys Eleven Wonders on matchday five, and subsequently at home to Ashanti Gold.
A win in their outstanding match against Aduana could further boost their position on the log.
