Junior Lokosa has described as 'very bad' his side's 1-1 draw with 10-man Rivers United at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Ibrahim Musa's men had secured two away consecutive draws at Nasarawa United and Abia Warriors and required a win over Stanley Eguma's side to climb to the second spot.

However, Chikere Osita's 12th minute strike gave the visitors a vital lead before Lokosa grabbed his 19th goal on his 21st appearance in the second half to rescue the hosts.

And the Super Eagles forward is confident they will bounce back after the World Cup holiday next month, July.

“It was all about teamwork and keep pushing hard to get good results," Lokosa told media.

"It was very bad to draw at home in this type of situation because we are aiming for the league title.

"Unfortunately, that's football. It has happened and It is now in the past. We have to focus on doing better after the [World Cup] break."

The draw means Kano Pillars are third on the Nigerian top-flight log with 38 points from 24 games.
