Reports: Kenyan striker Masoud Juma ends contract with Cape Town City FC

Kenyan striker Masoud Juma has reportedly terminated his contract with Cape Town City FC.

Juma joined the South African Premier League side in January from Kariobangi Sharks, but his stay with the Benni McCarthy coached side only lasted eight months.

“I’ve terminated my contract with Cape Town City FC. Am now a free agent,” Juma said on his official Facebook page.

Goal could not verify if the 2017 Kenyan Premier League top scorer, indeed wrote the post on his timeline or the reason why he terminated the contract.

Juma was in Cape Town City's squad that beat Kaizer Chiefs in their final match of pre-season during the Mbombela Cultural tournament.

The former Sony Sugar striker, scored 17 league goals for Sharks to help them finish third in their debut season in the Kenyan top tier last season. Cape Town will kick-off the new season with a home game against SuperSport United on Saturday.
