Real Valladolid vs Real Madrid Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Real Madrid return to La Liga action this weekend away to Valladolid, with Santiago Solari's side hoping to bounce back from their Champions League disappointment in midweek.

Los Blancos were stunned 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night by Ajax, knocking them out of the competition they have won in each of the last three seasons.

To make matters worse, the defeat to Ajax was preceded by two consecutive losses against Barcelona which saw them dumped out of the Copa del Rey and fall 12 points behind their rivals in the league.

The season is all but over for Solari's side and the manager will have to rouse his troops to put in a professional display on Sunday against a side fighting for their domestic lives.

Team news

Vinicius Junior, Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez and Dani Carvajal all picked up knocks against Ajax and all four are set to miss out, although Bale has an outside shot of playing. Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is supsended for the game.

For the hosts, Toni Villa and Luismi are doubts.

Preview

Valladolid have recorded just 2 wins in their last seventeen league matches, a run which has seen them drop from challenging for a European place to battling relegation.

Their total of twenty goals scored is - by some distance - the lowest in the division and Sergio Gonzalez's men have failed to score in four of their last five matches.

Madrid, meanwhile, have lacked a ruthless edge in the final third over the last few weeks and with the side missing some key players there is every chance we could see a low-scoring encounter on Sunday evening.

Tips and predictions

Under 2.5 goals is priced at 11/8 (2.38) and looks like a strong option for the game. Opposing an early goal also makes plenty of sense, with Real Madrid likely to be feeling pretty deflated and Valladolid lacking confidence.

No goal before 25 minutes is on offer at 5/6 (1.83) and should attract plenty of attention.
