Relegation-threatened Dikwena have wasted no time bolstering their squad on the transfer deadline day

Platinum Stars have confirmed the arrivals of four new players on the January transfer window deadline day.

Dikwena have signed Wangu Gome, Peter Molete, Nyiko Tshabangu and Riyaad Norodien.

Namibia international Gome joins following an unhappy spell at Bidvest Wits where he struggled to break into the starting line-up.

The midfielder made only six appearances in all competitions for the Clever Boys as they clinched the 2016/17 PSL title.

As for Molete, he joins as an unknown character, while Tshabangu reunites with Roger De Sa once again.

It was De Sa, who handed the left-back his professional debut during the 2010/11 season at Wits and the team finished second in the 2011 Telkom Knockout Cup.

Norodien arrives on a six-month loan deal from Orlando Pirates where following his high-profile arrival has struggled to set the scene alight.

His time in the Black and White colours has seen him make only 20 appearances in all competitions, with his last game ironically coming against the self-same Dikwena where he helped Bucs to a 2-0 win on Saturday in Rustenburg.

Like Tshabangu, he also gets to reunite with De Sa once more who also handed him his professional debut while on the books of Ajax Cape Town.

It remains to be seen what type of impact the four new arrivals will make at the troubled club, who are currently on sale and starring relegation in the face.

Stars find themselves bottom of the league standings and they have struggled for form in recent weeks having lost their last three encounters.

Dikwena have also added Ayanda Gcaba to their roster, who also joins on a six-month loan deal from the Buccaneers, and he will also get to reunite with De Sa after their time together at the Soweto giants from 2012 to 2014.
