Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is hoping to have a fully fit team when they take on Kaizer Chiefs, but adds they will take it nice and easy at the FNB Stadium.

“Yeah, big game, I wish I could play this big game with a fully fit team and compete fairly, but I cannot complain, you know, because the same team that played here when we lost (2-1) to Chiefs (in October), they played well. They played very well. We need to be smart in FNB. We need to be smart, not to be all over the place, you know," Mosimane told Far Post.

When asked if he intends to be conservative and play with five at the back, Mosimane said: “I want to respond to what the table says on the log. We don’t want to lose in FNB, no. We have to be smart. You might not win, but we are not losing.. I also want to use speed against people and maybe I will use counter attack there. We will see how the game is.”

“They have three centre backs always and it works for them. And they do well with that and look where they are on the log,” Mosimane said.

Amakhosi came from a goal down to beat Baroka FC 2-1 on Sunday, with former Downs marksman Leonardo Castro scoring the winner after they were reduced to 10 men midway through the second half.

Mosimane candidly admits that he is scared to face Steve Komphela’s charges, who have been seemingly revitalized since the start of the year.

“Yes, I’m scared!” Mosimane responded when asked if he scared of Amakhosi.
