Paul Onuachu‘s hat-trick fires Midtjylland to Danish Cup win

The Nigerian forward was on song for the Wolves with three goals as they progress to the next round of the Danish Cup

Nigeria's Paul Onuachu scored a hat-trick as Midtjylland thrashed Greve 7-0 in a Danish Cup encounter on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old’s first half goal and second half brace led Jess Thorup’s men to a flawless win at the Greve Idræts Center.

Filip Novak’s opener broke the deadlock in the 15th minute before the Nigerian gave the Wolves a 2-0 lead in the first half.

After the restart, Onuachu continued the goals spree with his second effort for the day in the 61st minute before he completed his hat-trick four minutes later.

Goals from Nigeria’s Frank Onyeka, Alexander Munksgaard and Marc Dal Hende in the 72nd, 74th and 77th minute respectively completed the rout as Midtjylland maintained their dominance over the Danish Divison 2 side.

Onuachu continues his brilliant goalscoring form of five goals in six games in the Danish topflight league.
