Orlando Pirates attacker Lyle Foster has revealed that he is looking forward to working with former France striker Thierry Henry at AS Monaco.

The Buccaneers youngster is set to join the French Ligue1 on a long term deal in January, a side that is coached by the Arsenal legend, and Foster is excited to get such an opportunity.

“Anyone would be looking forward to working with him, he was a top striker and now he is a top coach so I just want to learn as much as I can from him,” Foster was quoted as saying by Daily Sun.

Foster was invited to attend trials in Europe with Monaco and has reportedly done enough to win a contract with the Ligue1 outfit.

“But for now my head is still at Orlando Pirates, I don’t want to think about that a lot. Obviously it’s a massive opportunity that I have to grab with both hands,” he added.

“I went there to train with the team and I got to watch one game, Monaco and Lille. After the game Lebo Mothiba gave me his jersey so that was nice,” concluded Foster.

Although he is yet to make his mark at Pirates since graduating to the senior team a season ago, Foster remains confident that he will find his way into coach Milutin Sredojevic's team.

With age still on his side, he has less than two months left for him to impress the technical team in order to gain regular first team experience before leaving to work under Henry.

With the 18-year-old set to commit to the French club, he will join South African players such as Lebo Mothiba, Keagan Dolly, Lebohang Phiri as well as Bongani Zungu among others who are plying their trades in the Ligue 1.
