Orlando Pirates' Afcon stars Ndoro and Gyimah could miss Bidvest Wits clash

Orlando Pirates' key players Tendai Ndoro and Edwin Gyimah could miss the team's Premier Soccer League (PSL) clash with Bidvest Wits next month.

Ndoro and Gyimah are currently part of the Zimbabwe and Ghana squads respectively at the ongoing 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals in Gabon.

The duo are most likely to miss Bucs' all-important league clash with Bidvest Wits if Zimbabwe and Ghana reach the Afcon semi-finals.

The Warriors of Zimbabwe held Algeria to a 2-2 draw in their first Group B game on Sunday, while Ghana's Black Stars will face Uganda in a Group D game on Tuesday.

The semi-finals will take place on the 1st and 2nd of February, while third place play-off, and final are scheduled for the 4th, and 5th of February respectively.

The Buccaneers are set to take on the Clever Boys at the Ellis Park Stadium on Friday, February 4 as the 2016/17 PSL campaign resumes.

Wits striker Cuthbert Malajila, who has mainly been used as a substitute this season - scoring two goals in the league, is also part of the Zimbabwe squad in Gabon.

Pirates have relied heavily on Ndoro for goals in the league so far. The 28-year-old forward has netted 11 goals and he's the current league top goalscorer.

His Bucs teammate Gyimah, 25, remains the team's key defender having made 14 appearances in all major competitions thus far.
