Oghenekaro Etebo gets first career red against Derby County

Stoke City midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo received the first red card of his career on Wednesday, as his side barely held on to defeat Derby County in the English Championship.

With just 33 minutes into the first half and Stoke up 1-0, Etebo raised studs up into Richard Keogh's shin.

And after some minutes of arguments, the referee 23-year-old was shown the way out for a serious foul play.

Sam Clucas’ goal had put the Potters in a commanding position. However, buoyed by a man advantage, Frank Lampard’s men equalised through Harry Wilson in the 50th minute.

With the Rams nearly getting a famous win, Thomas Ince handed Stoke maximum points with the winner with 26 minutes left to play.

Following this win, the bet365 Stadium giants move to 12th in the log with 26 points after 19 matches, while Derby are seventh with 31 points.
