Former Kenya midfielder Nicholas Muyoti quit his post as Thika United head coach earlier this week.
The tactician had replaced James Nandwa last year and helped the team avoid relegation, but has failed to inspire the team to greater heights.
The soft-spoken coach has revealed to Goal why he decided to throw in the towel.
"As a coach, the main objective is to help the team do better in each and every game, but currently, it has not happened.
“Maybe there is something I was not doing right and before it is too late the option was to walk away.
"I know there is massive talent in the team and with proper support, the team will get off that relegation zone."
The milkmen are currently second from bottom with just nine points after thirteen games.
