Mwambusi and Minziro interested in Singida United job

Local coaches Juma Mwambusi and Fred Felix Minziro have shown interest to take over at Singida United once Hans van Pluijm departs at the end of the season.

Singida United confirmed early this week that Pluijm will leave the club after the FA Cup Final against Mtibwa Sugar on June 2.

There is a lot of speculation on who will take over at the Singida based club, reports suggest that Singida United will attempt to bring in another foreign head coach.

Former Mbao Head Coach, Burundian Etienne Ndayiragije is still the frontrunner to be given the job but he has to beat former Yanga head coach Serbian, Dusan Kondic who is reportedly on the clubs radar.

However, Goal has learned that former Yanga coaches Mwambusi and Minziro have sent their CV's and they want the job.

Mwambusi is out of work since he left Yanga at the start of this season where he served as assistant coach for two seasons, he also managed Mbeya City and Tanzania Prison in the past.

Meanwhile, Minziro after successfully helping Singida United get promoted to the top flight departed the club to pave way for the experienced Pluijm.

He then managed First Division League team KMC who he also helped to get promoted to the top flight next season.
