The former PSL Coach of the Month was left frustrated as Bucs failed to secure maximum points at home

Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has turned his focus to their crucial clash with FC Platinum following a draw against Bloemfontein Celtic.

The Buccaneers were frustrated by a resilient Phunya Sele Sele side in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) match which ended in a 1-1 draw at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night.

“We need to collect the pieces and collect more points ahead of us. There are still seven matches to play," Sredojevic told SuperSport TV.

Despite the draw, Bucs climbed to the top of the league standings, but only on goal-difference as they are level on points with Mamelodi Sundowns, who lost to Cape Town City on the same night.

“We do not think about the table, we are frustrated that we could not win this game," he continued.

The Buccaneers created countless goalscoring opportunities, but they could only score one goal through Luvuyo Memela, who cancelled out Tshepo Rikhotso's opening goal.

“Credit to the players because they’ve given everything, but a bit more cool heads would have led us to win this game," Micho added.

Pirates will now take on Zimbabwean side Platinum in their penultimate Caf Champions League Group B clash at the Orlando Stadium on Friday.

“Now we’re refocusing towards the (Caf) Champions League, on Friday we’re playing against FC Platinum," he said.

"That is a must-win match, then seven days later we are away in Guinea against Horoya. About the local league we shall think after the Fifa break," he concluded.

Pirates, who are currently placed third on the Group B standings, will book their place in the quarter-finals if they win their last two matches against Platinum and Horoya.
