Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has revealed that he is the one who brought Vincent Pule from Bidvest Wits because he suited his style of play.

The attacking midfielder joined the Buccaneers from Wits on a free transfer soon after helping the Braamfontein-based side avoid relegation from the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

His exploits attracted interest from two biggest football clubs in the country in Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates, who battled for his signature.

Ultimately, Bucs beat Chiefs to Pule's signature, and Sredojevic has since disclosed that Pule was on his wish-list which he forwarded to the club's management.

“When the season finished, we patiently did our reports, and in our reports we looked at a player who could fit our game model and style of play,” Sredojevic told the media.

The 26-year-old player has hit the ground running at the Houghton-based side as he has produced impressive displays against Highlands Park and Chippa United in the league.

Micho believes that Pule will get better with time at the Buccaneers.

“I am happy that Vincent Pule has succeeded to reach the level that is required to play the matches," the Serbian tactician continued.

"But still, there are so many things [to work on]. The biggest motivational factor is room for improvement and development," Sredojevic added.

“This is something that he works on. I believe there’s still so many things to come from his side," he concluded.
