MFM FC's Sikiru Olatunbosun has issued an appeal to his teammates to 'step up' their performance following Monday's 1-1 draw with Rivers United at the Agege Stadium.
Olatunbosun gave the Olukoya Boys the lead after 17 minutes but Emeka Atuloma scored 17 minutes from the full time to level matters for the visitors.
The result means Fidelis Ilechukwu's side have been held twice at home this season and moved to ninth on the log with 23 points from 16 matches.
With three rescheduled away games against Enugu Rangers, Go Round and Niger Tornadoes lined up, the forward is upbeat about their chances of securing full points from the matches.
"First of all, it was not an easy thing but I scored a wonderful goal," Olatunbosun told media.
"It was a tough game because Rivers United prepared well for us and we did too with intentions to fight for the victory.
"Unfortunately, we were not able to get the maximum points against Rivers but we did not lose the match. But we have to step up to get good results in our upcoming games.
"Where we are currently on the league table is not a good position for us and we have to do our best in order to secure the maximum points in our next away games."
