Gor Mahia has signed the highly rated defensive midfielder Castro Ogendo on a four-year deal.
The 20-year-old player is a student at the Kenyatta University and his exploits have caught the eye of the seventeen-time league champions. Team manager Jolawi Abondo has confirmed to Goal that the player will have a lot to do to break into the first team.
"Yes, we have signed Ogendo, from Kenyatta University, he is a talented young lad who we want to groom and see if he can be of help in the future. We are still committed to developing players who shall take over in the near future, and Castro is one of them.
"Well, we are still in the market for players, but we will go for quality, that is what we need for next season."
Gor Mahia will play in the Caf Champions League after winning the Kenyan Premier League.
