KPL Top 8 Knockout tournament will return after one-year hiatus but with two new faces.

Kariobangi Sharks and Vihiga United will fight it out with five other top teams in the two-day tournament at Kasarani on March 2018.

The two sides finished third and fifth respectively in their maiden season in the top flight league last campaign.

Unfortunately, reigning champions, Muhoroni Youth will not defend their title after they were relegated to the National Super League after finishing bottom of the table in the just ended season.

Muhoroni Youth beat Gor Mahia by a solitary goal to lift the tournament in the last edition held in 2016

The knockout tournament failed to take place this year due to lack of sponsorship.

The two-day tournament will take place between March 3-4 at Kasarani, but teams will know their opponents on February 14th during the draws.

Other teams are champions Gor Mahia, runners-up Sofapaka, former chmpions Tusker, Posta Rangers, Ulinzi Stars and AFC Leopards who finished eighth in the just ended season.
