Shami Kibwana handed Thika United the much needed victory against Vihiga United at Mumias Complex on Sunday.

Kibwana gave the away team the lead after he pounced on a loose ball following a defensive lapse by Vihiga United to burry home the lone goal in the 8th minute.

Earlier in the day, Kariobangi Sharks hit Bandari by a solitary goal at Camp Toyoyo to move to ninth on the log. Sven Yidah gave Kariobangi Sharks maximum points against visiting Bandari. 

The lone goal came in the 56th minute when the midfielder connected a Duke Abuya free-kick into the back of the net. 

It was a sigh of relief for coach William Muluya, who had been denied a goal scored in the first half by Francis Manoa.
