The Porcupine Warriors technical team has released seven key players ahead of the second transfer window

Asante Kotoko have mutually terminated the contracts of seven first team players following their dismal start to the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League season, according to reports in the local media.

The Porcupine Warriors amassed 17 points from five wins and two draws across 12 games, which has sparked frustrations among local supporters who keep calling for improvement.

The list, which was submitted to the club's top hierarchy on Friday, includes strikers Sadick Adams and Yakubu Mohammed; midfielders Baba Mahama, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi and Seth Opare; and defenders Edwin Tuffour Frimpong and Eric Donkor.

According to Goal's sources, Sadick and Mahama fell out mainly with the coach after questioning his selections and game approach.
