Kenyan legend Mike Kisaghi believes that both Liverpool and Barcelona have been drawn in tough Groups of Uefa Champions League.

According to the draw conducted on Thursday, Liverpool landed in the obligatory ‘Group of Death’, also known as a selection of hard fixtures, along with PSG, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade while Spurs earned themselves a glamour tie with Barcelona, while PSV and Inter Milan will also provide stiff competition.

It was a case of deja vu for City, who were drawn with Shakhtar Donetsk again, as well as Lyon and Hoffenheim while Manchester United were drawn alongside Juventus, Valencia and Young Boys in Group H, meaning another Old Trafford return for Cristiano Ronaldo.

And speaking on the draw, Kisaghi, who once played for Kenyan champions Gor Mahia and also featured for national team Harambee Stars, said, “What a draw? I never expected such a pairing. Group B will particularly be the toughest but also Liverpool have a tough job.

“I have a feeling that Barcelona can make it but they must not underrate their opponents. It will not be easy for them and Liverpool also must be afraid now because their group does not favour them. They must work hard to make it out of the draw,” Kisaghi told Goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford as Juventus have been paired with Manchester United and Kisaghi has tipped Juve and Valencia to make it from the pairing. “Even Man United will have it tough. Not an easy draw.

“With Ronaldo going back to Old Trafford and also fighting to win the title with Juventus, Man United will have a tall order. I expect Valencia to make it from the Group alongside Juventus.”

United were knocked out at the second round of the competition last season by Sevilla and have not won the competition since Ronaldo helped fire them to success over Chelsea in 2008.

Kisaghi however, believes that Man City have the easiest draw. “City had a good run last season and looking at the draw, they have another chance to give it another go. They can make it from the Group.”

German giants Bayern Munich are with Benfica, Ajax and AEK Athens in Group E, and Lokomotiv Moscow were the first seed for Group D and will take on Porto, Schalke and Galatasaray.
