Kelechi Iheanacho - Leicester City vs. Huddersfield Town

Kelechi Iheanacho pleased with Leicester City's return to winning ways

Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his delight after Leicester City returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town in Saturday’s Premier League game.

Last weekend, Claude Puel’s men suffered a 4-2 defeat against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium - their second consecutive loss.

However, they fought from behind to nick the maximum points against Huddersfield, with the forward scoring and assisting with another in the tie.

“Yes it is good to get back to winning ways. The whole team is happy not only me. We are pleased with the result today,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV.

“I think the whole team did very brilliantly. I think we worked hard.

“It was a sloppy goal in the first half but we kept our heads down and got the equaliser and the goals came. We are happy today.

Jamie Vardy set up the former Manchester City striker for the equaliser and the Nigerian returned the favour.

“Yes I think we have a good partnership, me and Jamie are fast on the break with good midfielders [James] Maddison and [Demarai] Gray.

“I think it is a good thing for us to finish well today. I think we will keep going like that.”

Leicester City face Wolverhampton Wanderers in a League Cup game on Tuesday and Iheanacho will hope to continue the impressive form.
