Kakamega Homeboyz is set to re-sign winger David Odhiambo, who has terminated his contract with Nzoia Sugar FC, Goal understands.

Odhiambo wrote to Football Kenya Federation a week ago seeking to terminate the remainder of the two-year deal he signed with the club in January, 2018, over none payment of salaries.

Nzoia players haven't been paid for months owing to financial challenge the club sponsor, Nzoia Sugar Company is facing. Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has confirmed that the player has approached him over a return to the team.

“I cannot say we have signed him because the transfer window isn't open right now. But he has told us that he's a free agent and we will see what happens once the transfer window happens. He is a good boy and there will always be a place for him at Homeboyz.”

Odhiambo moved to Nzoia on the Bosman after his contract with Homeboyz expired.
