The Chanji Boys bowed to Enyimba in their group stage opener but the gaffer has revealed his intent against the second division side

Katsina United head coach Abdullahi Biffo has described as ‘a must-win match’ his side’s  Thursday’s Federation Cup showdown with Julius Atete FC at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe.

The Chanji Boys lost 1-0 to Enyimba in their opener and are now eager to get their campaign back on track with a win over the Nigeria National League side, who lost 3-1 to Plateau United.

Ahead of the encounter, the former Abia Warriors gaffer insists progressing to the quarterfinal remains their top priority after being placed third on the log behind Plateau and Enyimba.

"Yes, we still have the opportunity to make up for the first game defeat against Enyimba," Biffo told media.

"It is a must-win match because we are on zero-point now and for us to advance to the next stage of the competition we must get as many points as possible.

"We are focused and positive that we will get the needed result as my boys are ready and in a good spirit to get the job done.

"J. Atete are crop of young raw talents, they are physical and fast on the ball. This is the more reason we will not underrate them. We will go all out to ensure that we get the maximum points."
