ISL: Chennaiyin FC sign Palestine attacker Carlos Salom

The Argentine-born Palestine international is expected to bolster the team's attacking arsenal...

Indian Super League (ISL) champions Chennaiyin FC have secured the services of Palestinian forward Carlos Salom.

The 31-year-old striker was last plying his trade for Bangkok United in Thailand and will now link up with the ISL defending champions.

Salom started his career in Argentina Sacachispas and has also played in Mexico before moving to Thailand. Though he was born in Argentina, Salom's great-grandparents are from Palestine and he chose to represent the country.

Salom scored in his debut for Palestine in a 1-1 friendly draw against Tajikistan on September 2016.

He will now look to augment Jeje Lalpekhlua's goals in attack for John Gregory's outfit who have signed the likes of Andrea Orlandi, Eli Sabia and retained Raphael Augusto, Gregory Nelson and the likes.
