The Howrah-born goalkeeper made the move for getting more minutes on the pitch...

Gokulam Kerala have roped in goalkeeper Arnab Das Sharma from Indian Super League (ISL) side Delhi Dynamos, Goal can confirm.

The Howrah born shot-stopper was the number one choice for the capital-based team after Albino Gomes was stretchered off against Jamshedpur FC following a knock on his knee in the opening half of the season.

The 30-year-old, who conceded 14 goals in 641 minutes, later paved the way for Spanish custodian Xabier Irurreta who was signed to strengthen the goalkeeping department.

Sharma has played for a host of I-league first and second division sides including Air India, Salgaocar, United Sikkim FC to name a few and notably the two Kolkata giants, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. He has also won the Federation Cup with Bagan in 2016.

It is expected that Sharma might be the numero uno choice for Gokulam in the upcoming season after goalkeeper Bilal Khan is set to return to FC Pune City after his short loan spell expires later this month.
