ISL 2018-19: NorthEast United likely to travel to Sweden for pre-season

North East United FC are likely to travel to Sweden to complete their pre-season preparations. They have already started training under head coach Eelco Schattorie and will be looking to fly to the Scandinavian country in a couple of days.

The John Abraham co-owned outfit had previously promoted former assistant coach Schattorie as the head coach and have re-appointed former Chelsea manager Avram Grant as an advisor. Arthur Papas complete the think-tank after being oped in as assistant coach.

As far as overseas recruitment is concerned they have signed Uruguayan forward Juan Cruz Mascia, Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche, and Colombian midfielder Jose David Leudo.

They have also retained the services of TP Rehenesh, Lalrempuia Fanai, Rowllin Borges and Reagan Singh.

NorthEast United will be hoping for a change in fortunes in the upcoming season as the North-Eastern side is the only team who are yet to reach the playoffs, apart from Jamshedpur FC who entered the ISL only last year.
