Midfielders Matias Mirabaje and Sehnaj Singh have been suspended and fined by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) disciplinary committee.

The pair was involved in a fight following a late challenge by Sehnaj Singh on Matias Mirabaje during the match between Delhi Dynamos and Mumbai City at the Mumbai Football Arena on December 29, 2017.

Both players were sent off by the referee but the fight seemed to continue into the tunnel. Sehnaj has been suspended for two games whereas Mirabaje will miss the next four games for his side.

Additionally, Sehnaj and Matias have been fined INR 2 Lakhs and INR 3 Lakhs respectively. The two players were found guilty of breaching Article 48 and 49 for serious infringement and misconduct against opponents and persons other than match officials by the AIFF Disciplinary Committee.

The ruling will come as a big blow to the Dynamos for whom Mirabaje has been a vital vog in an otherwise dismal campaign which sees them dead-last in the table with only three points so far.
