Last season this fixture produced goals late on and we are backing more late strikes when the two cross-city clubs meet on Sunday night

The first Milan derby of the season comes at a time of contrasting fortunes for the city's two clubs.

Inter have six wins and a draw from their seven league matches, a start which has provoked tentative whispers of a title challenge for Luciano Spalleti's side, and although the Scudetto is probably beyond the Nerazzurri in the long-run, finishing above their cross city rivals is very much within their grasp and they head into Sunday's game already seven points ahead of Milan.

After a massive summer outlay and a host of high profile signings, the Rossonerri were expected to at the very least challenge for a return to the Champions League, but three defeats in their opening seven matches have heaped pressure on Vincenzo Montella and another bad result this weekend could well spell the end for the manager.

bet365, who are live-streaming the match for UK-based customers, offer Inter - who are the home side at San Siro on Sunday - at 11/10 (2.10) while Milan can be backed at 23/10 (3.30) and the draw is available at 5/2 (3.50).

While Inter have made an excellent start to the league campaign, closer scrutiny of their results shows their have been plenty of late goals for the 2010 European champions; their last home match required an 87th minute winner to claim a 1-0 victory over Genoa, while recent away matches at Crotone and Bolgona have also needed late goals for Inter.

As such, bet365 price a goal in the 75th minute or after at 5/6 (1.83) and this selection has paid out in six of Inter's seven league matches this term.

Milan too have seen some late goals recently, with their last three matches in all competition producing five strikes after the 75th minute. Furthermore this fixture has seen plenty of late drama in recent years, with both derbies last season ending 2-2 following injury time equalisers, for Inter in the first game, and Milan in the second.

Indeed, this selection has paid out in the last three Milan Derbies and given the spate of late goals in both sides' recent matches, it looks a solid selection for Sunday's showdown as both Milan clubs have evidently benefitted from late goals recently.

Goal scored after 74.59 minutes at 5/6 (1.83) for a 2.5pt stake with bet365
