Losing the match which was a play-off for the ninth and 12th positions now means that India will now have to contest for the positions between 13 to 16.
Nicolai Adam's boys were not able to hold on to their first half lead as they conceded twice in the second half to lose the tie.
India took the lead in the 37th minute through Joysana's shot that deflected off rival player Pihelgas into his own net. However, Sorga dazzled the Indian defence and scored the equaliser in the 70th minute with a left-footer that beat goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh.
The winner came in the 87th minute as Pihelgas made amends for his own goal in the first half to latch on to the second ball from a free-kick to slot it into the back of the net.
