Indian Arrows' 16-year-old Jitendra Singh becomes I-League's youngest ever goal scorer

The All India Football Federation (AIFF)'s development side, Indian Arrows produced the latest player to rewrite the history books in the I-League. Defender Jitendra Singh became the youngest ever goal-scorer in the history of the I-League when he broke the deadlock in his team's encounter against Shillong Lajong in New Delhi.

Jitendra was 16 years, 6 months and 13 days old when he scored on Tuesday afternoon, earlier having represented the nation in it's first ever FIFA U-17 World Cup appearance in October 2017 at home.

The youngster who learnt the trade at Kolkata-based United SC's academy teams before he was picked up by the AIFF scouting network played two games in the World Cup as he started the first match against the USA and returned for the game against Ghana after being dropped for the Colombia game.
