Bakary Sako has expressed his gratitude following his impressive form in Tuesday’s English League Cup where he scored the lone goal that helped Crystal Palace qualify to the next round of the competition at the detriment of Huddersfield Town.
The midfielder registered the all-important goal for Roy Hodgson’s men barely minutes after the kick-off of the encounter.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers who recently returned from Metatarsal Fracture after spending two months on the side lines is fired up for the season.
The 29-year-old took to twitter to convey his feelings on his impact in the outing.
“Grateful for so much reasons, happy to be back playing, scoring and of course winning. Let the season starts now,” Sako tweeted.
The Malian will be hoping to get more game time under his belt and help the Eagles for more victories when they travel to Etihad Stadium to keep a date with Manchester City in the English Premier League game on Saturday.
