Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne arrives with backroom staff

Nicolas Bouriquet will assist the newly appointed Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne.

Frenchman Migne, who signed a three-year-deal with Football Kenya Federation on Thursday, came with his assistant and goalkeeper trainer Guilaune Breul as part of his backroom staff.

The two will be on a monthly salary paid by the federation. Migne, 45 will also work with a foreign physiotherapist and nutritionist. The latter will only join the national team during assignments.

This is among a rare occurrence at the Stars' dressing room where previously, foreign coaches had no privilege of choosing their own backroom staff.

Migné has previously coached the Democratic Republic of Congo U-20 national team. Migne became the first coach to qualify the DRC youth team for continental championships.

Migne has also worked in Togo as an assistant to Claude Le Roy during the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

But just like Put, Migne left his Congo job halfway through to his two-year contract and it remains to be seen whether he will see off his contract with Kenya.

Stanley Okumbi has been handling the team on an interim basis following the exit of Belgian Put.
