Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has challenged striker Jacques Tuyisenge to win the 2018 Golden Boot.

With three matches remaining to the end of the season, the Rwandan striker has found the back of the net 13 times for K'Ogalo and is tied at the top with Zoo Kericho midfielder Michael Madoya.

Also following closely in the race are Ezekiel Odera of AFC Leopards with 12 goals alongside Cliff Nyakeya of Mathare United, Eric Kapaito of Kariobangi Sharks and Nicholas Kipkurui of Zoo.

Kerr has confirmed to Goal that Tuyisenge will start against Vihiga United on Wednesday. “He will start and I want him to get the Golden Boot. He has the chance and we must support him.”

Former Nzoia Sugar striker Elvis Rupia will not be in contention despite leading with 15 goals, after he opted to sign for Power Dynamos of Zambia during the June transfer window.
