The former Black Queens skipper has urged the Black Princesses to improve on their performance in the upcoming U-20 World Cup

Former Ghana's Women national team captain Grace Adjoa Bayor has advised the Black Princesses to make a huge impact in the upcoming Fifa U-20 Women's World Cup holding in France next month.

The Black Princesses, who are making their fourth appearance in a row, are yet to progress from the group stage.

They have been paired with hosts France, New Zealand and Netherlands in Group A.

"I believe this will be our fifth appearance at the World Cup and you know we haven't gone past the group stages before so there are lots of expectations," Bayor was quoted as saying by Footballghana.com.

"This time around I will be happy to see them qualify to the knockout stage. No Ghanaian female national team apart from the Black Maidens has been able to qualify past the first round but I want the Princesses to show what they are made of this time around.

"They had a good qualifying campaign and I hope they transfer that performance to the World Cup although they will have to face the host nation in the opening game," she added.

Ghana, who will be without captain Princella Adubea due to injury, will face France in the opening game on August 5.
