Gbenga Ogunbote is a coach you'll want to die for, says Kelvin Itoya

Enugu Rangers' Kelvin Itoya says coach Gbenga Ogunbote is a coach any player will want to die for in the Nigerian top-flight.

The 22-year-old has scored three goals plus three assists in 15 appearances, starting five times for the Flying Antelopes this season under coach Ogunbote.

The former Warriors Wolves man, who has been impressive this term, insists he is unsatisfied as he vows to keep improving to help his side challenge for honours.

"I am not going to talk about how he [Gbenga Ogunbote] prepares us for games," Itoya told Goal.

"But I will tell you that Coach Ogunbote Gbenga is a coach and a father. Even if you are tired, you will want to give an extra energy because he is a kind of coach you'll want to die for.

"This season has been good but I haven't done better. I have been involved in most games for my team so far, starting 5 and coming on as a substitute in the others.

"I've scored three times and got three assists. So I am not satisfied. I will say after week 20 in the 38 match season, I haven't really done enough and so there is room for improvement."

Enugu Rangers are eighth on the log with 30 points - 10 behind leaders Lobi Stars after 22 games.
