The 18-year-old earns just his fourth cap for his country, having enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2016-17 which has seen him spark interest from the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid.

There are plenty of familiar faces to Premier League audiences alongside him, with Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris joined in the side by Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, Leicester’s N’Golo Kante and Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud.

For England, Gareth Southgate has handed a senior debut to Spurs full-back Kieran Trippier.
