Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand is set to tour Kenya courtesy of Guinness.

Ferdinand, who also played for Leeds United, West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers in the English Premier League, is also expected to conduct soccer clinics aimed at helping young players at the grassroots.

“His visit will be very crucial in finding and celebrating with those Kenyan fans, who prove themselves Made of More,” confirmed Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) Marketing Manager for Guinness, Wamakau Nduku.

She added, “These are the fans, who live and breathe football, whose support knowledge and bold acts of dedication demonstrate their unique passion for the beautiful game.”

Guinness consumers will also have the opportunity to win an extraordinary experience with the Englishman on his tour. Twelve lucky winners will stand a chance of winning Sh1 million plus the chance to touch base and hang out with one of the EPL greatest centre-backs, Rio himself.

Ferdinand won a couple of EPL and Uefa Champions League titles with Man United and will be the third most celebrated legend to tour Kenya under the Guinness brand after Roberto Di Matteo and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.
