FIFA U-17 World Cup: India U-17 team to take part in four nation tournament in Mexico

With less than a 100 days left for the FIFA U-17 World Cup that will be held in India, the India U-17 team ramp up their preparations for the big event by taking part in a four nation tournament that is to be held in Mexico. The Torneo de 4 Naciones Tournament will be held in Mexico City. 

The tournament will see the Indian colts take on the U-17 Teams of Mexico,Colombia and Chile.

The Indian U-17 World Cup Squad will be going up against Mexico first on August 3rd before facing Colombia the next day. They will wrap up the tourney by taking on Chile on August 6th. 

Interestingly, Colombia is one of India's opponents in Group A of the FIFA U-17 World Cup. 

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is leaving no stones unturned in a bid to make sure that the Indian colts put up a strong show in the showpiece event that is to be held in October.

Recently, the team had an exposure trip to Europe wherein the Indian Colts faced Serbia, Macedonia and some other European nations apart from youth teams of several established clubs. 

The Indian colts faced off against SL Benfica's U-17 squad and other youth teams such as Estoril U-17 and Belenenses U-17 among others during this trip.

India U-17 hold Benfica U-17 to a 2-2 draw 

India has been drawn in Group A as the host team of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017, alongside USA, Colombia and Ghana.
