And this week FIFA are offering you the chance to relive it all with FIFA Rewind – a ground-breaking mobile and social series, which will bring a selection of the greatest games in World Cup history right up into the 21st century.
Fans have voted for the games they want to relive from 1982 to 2014 and this week we move on to 2010.
|WORLD CUP||MATCH||DATE OF BROADCAST|
|2010||Uruguay vs Ghana||11/05/2018|
|2014||Brazil vs Germany||25/05/2018|
The contests will be given the same level of coverage you’d expect from a modern World Cup blockbuster, complete with pre and post-match analysis published via Goal and FIFA's social media channels throughout the week.
Ghana were hoping to become the first African team in history to reach a World Cup semi-final, but they first had to get past Uruguay and Luis Saurez.
And Suarez would take centre-stage in the most controversial of fashion, leaping to the defence of his side to assure a dramatic conclusion to a modern classic.
Relive all the drama this Friday.
