EXTRA TIME: Salah, Aurier, other African stars prepare for 2019 Afcon qualifiers

The continent's stars are gearing up for action in this weekend's break from club football

African stars based abroad have arrived in their respective countries to kick-off preparations for this weekend’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification games.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, Aston Villa’s Ahmed Elmohamady, Kasimpasa’s Mahmoud Trezeguet and have teamed up with the rest of the Egypt set-up at their Alexandria camp ahead of Tunisia clash on Friday.

ادى المنتخب الوطنى مرانه المسائي اليوم بالملعب الفرعى لستاد الجيش ببرج العرب استعدادا لمباراته امام نظيره التونسى المقرر اقامتها يوم الجمعة المقبل ضمن تصفيات بطولة الامم الافريقية الكاميرون 2019. اقيم المران فى الساعة السادسة والنصف بمشاركة جميع اللاعبين المختارين وعددهم 25 لاعبا بعد وصول محمد صلاح و محمد الننى و سام مرسى و طاهر طاهر و محمد حمدى و احمد ايمن منصور و اسلام جابر، كما انضم محمود جنش للتدريبات الجماعية بعدما انتهى أمس من آداء تدريبات تأهيلية، إلا أن حمدي الونش شعر بآلام فى عضلة الفخذ مع نهاية المران، حيث سارع الجهاز الطبى بعمل الاسعافات اللازمة تمهيدا لاجراء اشعة صباح الغد لمعرفة مدى الاصابة.

Mbaye Diagne who is the leading top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig with 11 goals from 12 matches and Schalke 04 defender Salif Sane are among the early arrivals to arrive Senegal's camp before their trip to Bata for the Saturday's date with Equatorial Guinea.
