Daniel Arzani's mixed first match for Celtic

The Australian teenager looks ready to star in Scotland

Daniel Arzani's first competitive minutes in a Celtic shirt has seen his academy side fall 3-0 to Hamilton.

The Australian teenager, on loan from Manchester City, started the match and lasted just over an hour in what was an individually promising performance.

While Celtic dominated possession, they were made to pay on the break and couldn't make the most of their own chances as Arzani tasted defeat in his first official appearance for Celtic.

Though the result wasn't what Arzani was after, the 19-year-old impressed in patches, going close to bagging a goal and creating a handful of chances for his side.

Replaced in the 62nd minute, Arzani will be hoping he's done enough to catch the eye of Celtic's first-team coach Brendan Rodgers ahead of an Old Firm Derby on Sunday.

The Hoops have looked far from their best this season, failing to qualify for the Champions League and currently sit second in the Premiership after a shock loss to Hearts.
