The Ivorian Football Federation have labelled reports linking Dutch gaffer Frank de Boer with the national team's vacant managerial role as 'unfounded'.
A local news media, Linfodrome reported that the former Barcelona defender would take over the helm of Cote d'Ivoire senior side.
The Elephants have been guided by interim coach Kamara Ibrahim since the sack of Marc Wilmots in November 2017 after an awful 2018 World Cup qualification campaign.
And the Ivorian Football Federation vice-president Sory Diabate has stated that the country is still searching for a new handler.
"It's no secret that FIF is searching for a new Elephants coach to replace Marc Wilmots,” Diabate told the federation's website.
"The Federation is working hard on this and will announce the name of the coach in due course.”
Cote d’Ivoire played a 2-2 draw against Togo and defeated Moldova 2-1 during last month's international break in France. They will continue their qualification campaign for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations against Rwanda in September.
