Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobbinah has been named the best performer of 2016-17 Ghana FA Cup season during an awards night held at M Plaza Hotel in Accra on Thursday.

The 26-year-old shrug off competitions from Asante Kotoko striker Sadick Adams, who scored a hat-trick in the final against rivals Hearts, and Amidaus Professionals' youngster Isaac Amoah.

However, Sadick got consolation by winning the topscorer award while Amoah also picked up the goal of year accolade.

Wa All Stars midfielder David Abagna was selected as the most promising player.
