Captain Harun Shakava tells new Gor Mahia signings to brace themselves for pressure

Captain Harun Shakava has told Gor Mahia's new signings to be cognizant of the pressure that comes with playing for the Kenyan champions.

Gor Mahia has signed three players - Zoo FC's Nicholas Kipurui, Shafik Batambuze from Singinda United while Kenneth Muguna rejoined the side from FK Tirana of Albania.

While Muguna has both the experience of playing both in KPL and at Gor Mahia, Shakava, however, said that the rest of the new catch should brace themselves for a new life of pressure at K’Ogalo.

“I want to welcome the new players. They are good players and I hope they will help the club. I hope they will cope with the high pressure of playing at Gor Mahia because our fans are too demanding,” Shakava told Goal.

Shakava, who took over the captain’s armband from Musa Mohammed, said that K’Ogalo’s target next season will be to better their performance in the Caf Champions League besides retaining the KPL title.
