Kateregga played for AFC Leopards in the Kenyan Premier League before joining Ugandan champions KCCA albeit on loan. The South African club have confirmed the capture of the dreadlocked midfielder.
“Cape Town City is delighted to announce the signing of Ugandan international winger Allan Kateregga. He joins the Citizens from Ugandan Premier League Champions KCCA FC, where he was on loan from AFC Leopards.”
Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy is confident that new man can provide the thrust needed in attack.
“Kateregga has a unique technical ability and is incredibly comfortable on the ball. He can interchange freely as a left or right wing as well as a playmaker, and is able to create and score wherever he plays.”
Cape Town City is also the new home for former Kariobangi Sharks striker Masoud Juma.
