Stanislav Cherchesov’s side have continued to defy expectations at the mundial and will look to put in another big performance in Sochi

The fourth quarter final tie at the global tournament will see host Russia take on Croatia at the Fisht Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Sbornaya continue to break records in the competition as they were able to get past 2010 champions Spain via penalties in the previous round.

This means entering the last eight is their best performance till date but Stanislav Cherchesov’s men have the chance to go even further into the semi-finals with a victory at odds of (4.00) with Bet365.

The Blazers equally needed penalties to eliminate Denmark in the previous round, winning 3-2.

This will be the second time the Croatians have made it this far at the mundial, having done so in 1998 where they reached the semis in their maiden appearance, ultimately finishing third.

Another opportunity beckons and it’s (2.25) to see them bag the win that sees them through.

Should the game end in draw, odds of (3.00) are available with the same firm.

Just as it was in their respective round of 16 games, extra time and potentially a penalty shootout in Sochi are priced at (6.00) and (5.00) respectively.

After keeping a clean sheet in their opening two games against Nigeria and Argentina, Zlatko Dalic’s men failed to do so in their subsequent outings and are valued at (1.61) to concede once more.

Russia are one of the highest scoring sides in the tournament, averaging 2.25 goals per game. However, they have conceded in 13 of their last 14 international games.

We can thus expect both sides to score at the price of (2.10).

Artem Dzyuba has been involved in four of Russia’s seven goals at the mundial (three goals, one assist) and is tipped at (3.75) by Bet365 to score anytime at the Fisht Stadium.

Luka Modric scored two during the group phase. He is arguably the biggest player in the squad and is offered at (4.75) to get his name on the score sheet anytime.
