Ayub Timbe grabs a brace as Beijing Renhe held by Tianjin Quanjian in a six goal thriller

Ayub Timbe took his goal tally to four in six matches for Beijing Renhe in a 3-3 draw with Tianjin Quanjian on Sunday.

Timbe became the first Kenyan to score two goals in a single match in the Chinese Super League when his brace secured a point for Renhe. The Kenyan winger has been on a fine form for Renhe since he was recalled from a loan stint with Heilongjiang Lava Spring in July.

Timbe cut Quanjian’s two goal lead after Alexandre Pato had doubled their advantage, when the Harambee Stars forward scored Renhe’s first goal just three minutes after the restart.

Senegalese Makhete Diop converted from the spot to draw the game level before Timbe competed his brace in the 70th minute.

Renhe, however, blew away the lead when they allowed Yang Xu to slot an equalizer with six minutes left on the clock to the final whistle. Renhe are now 12th on the log with 21 points.
