Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan says he is prepared to work hard in order to maintain the number one spot ahead of new signing Muntari Tagoe who joined the club from Lusaka Dynamo in a two-year-deal last week.
Annan, 23, could find himself in a difficult situation especially during the upcoming Caf Confederation Cup. However, he is confident he would retain his place ahead of the experienced shot-stopper.
"The signing of Muntari Tagoe is good for the club because we need quality players to participate in the Caf Confederation Cup. His arrival will help improve competition also since everyone needs to do well to deserve the place," Annan told Radio Silver.
"He is an excellent goalkeeper with lots of experience but I'm not disturbed. This is because I'm ready to work hard and retain the first-choice role," he added.
Tagoe was the first-choice for Medeama when they made it to the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup in 2016.
Goal understands that Kotoko have pitched camp in the Western regional capital Sekondi to fine tune for ten days ahead of the Caf inter-club competition.
