Ahmed Musa should move to Fenerbahce, say Goal readers

Ahmed Musa should move to Fenerbahce next season, according to Goal readers, who see the Turkish giants as a better option than Leicester City.

It’s been a testing maiden campaign in English football for the Nigeria attacker, who arrived tipped to be Jamie Vardy’s replacement only to end up deputising for the Foxes hero after he didn’t move onto Arsenal as expected.

The West African has done little to justify the £16 million fee Leicester paid CSKA Moscow for his services, ending the campaign with just two goals in 755 Premier League minutes.

Certainly, the 24-year-old might point to a lack of first-team opportunities—only seven of his 21 EPL outings were from the start—although Musa has done little to persuade Claudio Ranieri’s replacement Craig Shakespeare that he deserves bigger role at the King Power Stadium.

We asked Goal readers where they think the forward would shine the most next season, with 32 percent of respondents advising Musa to plump for Fenerbahce, one of the player’s reported suitors.

Intriguingly, 78 percent of those who replied recommended that Musa should move away from the East Midlands, with only 22 percent believing that the forward would be best served by remaining at Leicester.

Two other English clubs have been linked to his signature, although both Brighton and Hove Albion (21 percent of the votes) and West Bromwich Albion (25 percent) are eclipsed by the Super Lig heavyweights.
